Bob Krotser: Steward Hershey Medical Center
Fellow Local 776 Teamsters:
I am writing this letter to endorse the Thompson/Hicks slate. Three years ago I also wrote an endorsement letter.
Since then I've had a chance to get to know and work with Dave Vrona, our Business Agent at Hershey Medical Center and Ed Thompson, and Ron Hicks even more. I have also spent more time with the entire group of guys on the Thompson/Hicks team. These guys are a very tight knit group. They just have a passion to help people.
I have been a Steward at the Med Center for 10 years. I have never seen a group more dedicated to the Members than these guys. They deserve your vote.
Thank you.
Bob Krotser, Union Steward
Hershey Medical Center

Why I am voting to re-elect the Thompson-Hicks Slate
As a former Recording Secretary and member of the Executive Board of our Local Union, I have been watching the team of Ed Thompson, Ron Hicks and the Officers and Agents that work with them, very intently. I wanted to know that these Brothers were working in the best interest of the Members of Teamsters Local 776, because I learned first-hand how much work goes into leading our Local.
Thompson, Hicks and their Team have far exceeded my expectations. Ed Thompson has led our Local Union into a position of prominence on not only the local stage, but also at the State and National levels. Ed has testified at legislative hearings at the Capitol in Harrisburg and was even named to an important Transportation Advisory Committee by Gov. Wolf. Serving our Local, Ed was named as a Trustee to Joint Council 53 which represents the entire Eastern half of Pennsylvania. With Ed’s support, UPS Business Agent Dave Licht has been named Union Co-Chair to the UPS C.P.A.P.G.C., the National Joint UPS/IBT Competition Committee, the National UPS/IBT Grievance Committee, and the National UPS/IBT Negotiating Committee, further extending the influence of our Local Union on the national stage.
Together with Ron Hicks who, as Secretary-Treasurer, has built our Local’s financial position to an unparalleled position of strength, Ed, Ron and the Team have improved not only our Local’s finances, but the overall improvement of our buildings, grounds (including increasing our property holdings), vehicles and equipment. Thanks to them, our Local is the most financially sound we have ever been.
Most importantly, Thompson, Hicks and their Team have forged a new spirit of Brotherhood within the foundation of our Local. They have redefined the essence of union which is, after all, the International BROTHERHOOD of Teamsters. “Teamwork makes the dream work.” They know it, and show it.
For these reasons and more I wholeheartedly and without reservation endorse the re-election of the Thompson-Hicks Slate and enthusiastically encourage you to do the same.
Fraternally,
Herbert C. Garber

“In my experience, the Thompson/Hicks Slate has been great to deal with. They have done well by us and have always been available to aid us in any way necessary. They always support all members to the best of their abilities and have done a great job with all contract negotiations.”
Laurie Long: Steward Rabbit Transit
"The current slate(Thompson/hicks) i.e. John Taylor, has done the utmost fantastic job @ Rabbit Transit. We need this kind of positive representation @ Rabbit. I raised a family and been employed @ Rabbit for 17 years. Steward for about 10-12 years."
James Spielman: Steward Littlestown Boro Police Dept.
"Since this slate has been in office our members seem to be taken care of much better than previous. We have benefitted from our contract negotiations greatly due to the attention these members have shown us. Any issues have been resolved in a timely and fair manner. I believe this group of individuals have a good business sense and care greatly about the Union as a whole. I have beenworking under a Union for 24 years, 10 with Teamsters 776. I have been a police officer for 13years and was the president of our police association before we decided to go with the Teamsters."
